The Institute of Spanish Language and Culture at UN has been educating international students for the last 35 years. ISLC has been granted the prestigious seal of excellence in the teaching of Spanish as a second language by the Cervantes Institute. Its Spanish courses for non-native speakers are directed towards university and pre-university students who wish to develop their language skills, as well as explore Spanish culture.
During the first semester students will participate in courses in the following areas: Spanish language (including a reading and writing component) Spanish Literature, Spanish Culture and Society. During the Spring semester, students will continue studying Spanish, and will also study Linguistics, Spanish and Hispanic American Literature, and Contemporary Spanish History. During both semesters students may take optional courses such as Spanish film, Business Spanish, Current Spanish Economy, and Translation.
