At the University of Navarra international students may earn a Bachelors of Arts or Bachelors of Science Degree in a Liberal Arts field.
Bachelor’s degrees are available in the following areas of study:
Education
Economics
Law
Philosophy
History
Journalism
Spanish Language and Literature
Art History and Theory
Communication
Public Relations
Biology
Chemistry
Biochemistry
Students have to choose an area of specialization and are required to take at least 60% of their coursework in that field. Students may also choose to minor in another area and will therefore be required to take the remaining elective credits (40%) in that area.
The Bachelor’s degree at the University of Navarra requires a minimum of 180 credits, as well as the presentation of a thesis at the end of a student’s university career.
Duration of the Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree is between three and four academic years (8 semesters). Students must enroll for a minimum of 30 credits (one semester) and a maximum of 60 credits (two semesters).
For admission into the Bachelor of Arts or Sciences programs, minimum requirements are a high school diploma, and scores on the SAT, “Selectividad (the Spanish equivalent of the SAT), or other established college entry exam.
Students studying in the Bachelor of Liberal Arts program will receive a certain number of credits. Each credit will correspond to ten hours of classroom instruction, or its equivalent. The credits are granted once the student has passed the corresponding class, having taken exams and received a passing grade, as established by the university.
